Reading all the chronicles together makes this a perfectly fin Continuing the chronicles in Norwegian. I don’t expect much from this but this 3rd one was the most uneventful one yet. I also think any fourth grader would erupt into a fit of giggles over the fact that this book contains the word “ass” even if it means a donkey.

Like I said before, it’s a great book for children.

It’s a “Young Child” book but really it’s scary. Not sure why I read this since I wasn’t a huge fan of numbers 1 and 2, but it was a cute enough story.

Reading all the chronicles together makes this a perfectly find chapter, but not a very good stand alone book. I would recommend this book to readers who like fantasy and faerie tails. I have been kind of bored because I recently saw the movie.

With Holly Black, he created the middle-grade series, The Spiderwick Chronicles, which has sold millions of copies, been adapted into a feature film, and has been translated in over thirty countries. The sister is still a brat. Their brownie-turned-boggart, Thimbletack, is furious with them for not giving their great-uncle’s secret book to them, so the creature is subjecting them to vicious pranks that may endanger them if they get worse. Some of the fantastical characters were kind of fun yes, fampo phookabut overall everything felt far more contrived than character-led, and that bothered me throughout. The ideas are clever and cute, but apparently Holly Black thinks that kids have the attention span of a goldfish.

I also don’t like that everything just goes down hill from the second he opens the book and theirs never anything good happening in between.

The books suffer from the same plight as the movie: Mallory and Simon want to get rid of the guide Jared wants to keep it. The characters are magical and the plot is something I have never read before.
